     Dorothea Margarete Ottonie Christa Baronin von Bodenhausen was born on 21 March 1909 at Bredeney bei Essen, Germany. She was the daughter of Hans Eberhard Baron von Bodenhausen and Dorothea Elisabeth Eva Marie Gräfin von Degenfeld-Schonburg. She married, firstly, Hugo Bulkely Brassey, son of Captain Robert Bingham Brassey and Violet Edith Lowry-Corry, on 27 July 1935 at London, England.1 She and Hugo Bulkely Brassey were divorced in 1938.1 She married, secondly, Rupprecht Spremberg on 5 December 1953. She died on 8 September 1986 at age 77 at Americana, Brazil.
     Dorothea Margarete Ottonie Christa Baronin von Bodenhausen usually went by her middle name of Christa.1 Her married name became Brassey. Her married name became Spremberg.
