Him and Bolko Hubertus were remarried in a religious ceremony on 8 July 1989 at Usenborn, Germany.

He married Maria Karin Baronin von During, daughter of Carl Baron von During and Georgine Henrich von Omorovicza, on 18 September 1961 in a civil marriage.
