     Charles Robert Archibald Grant of Cotes was born on 29 December 1903.2 He was the son of General Sir Charles John Cecil Grant and Lady Sybil Myra Caroline Primrose.3,2 He married, firstly, Mary Mackenzie Young, daughter of Captain Telford Mackenzie Young and Lilian McKenzie French, on 4 January 1926 at St. Giles, London, England, in a secretly marriage.2 He married, secondly, Pamela Wellesley, daughter of Captain Lord Richard Wellesley and Louise Nesta Pamela FitzGerald, on 12 June 1933.3 He and Pamela Wellesley were divorced in 1943.1 He married, thirdly, Sybil Barbara Farquhar, daughter of Colonel Francis Douglas Farquhar and Lady Evelyn Hely Hutchinson, on 28 March 1946.4 He died on 21 January 1972 at age 68.4

Arthur Richard Wellesley, 2nd Duke of Wellington, son of Field Marshal Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington and Hon. Catherine Sarah Dorothea Pakenham, on 18 April 1839 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 13 August 1904 at age 83 at Bearhill Park, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, EnglandG.1 She was buried on 19 August 1904 at Stratfield Saye House, Basingstoke, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 Her will was proven (by probate) on 8 September 1904, at over £13,000 gross, over £10,000 net.1
