     Captain Cyril Gerald Valerian Wellesley was born on 24 June 1879.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Gerald Valerian Wellesley and Kathleen Carleton.2 He married Lilias Mason Summers, daughter of James Woolley Summers and Edith Mason, on 4 February 1909.1 He died on 14 March 1915 at age 35, from wounds received in action.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Lincolnshire Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.

     Lilias Mason Summers was born in 1884 at Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England.2 She was the daughter of James Woolley Summers and Edith Mason.3,2 She married, firstly, Captain Cyril Gerald Valerian Wellesley, son of Lt.-Col. Gerald Valerian Wellesley and Kathleen Carleton, on 4 February 1909.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Reginald Bastard, son of John Algernon Bastard and Olivia Gertrude Louisa Claremont, on 6 February 1919.1 She died on 20 November 1974.2
     From 4 February 1909, her married name became Wellesley.1 From 6 February 1919, her married name became Bastard.1

     James Woolley Summers was born on 24 March 1849 at Dukinfield, Cheshire, England.2,3 He was the son of John Summers and Mary Wooley.3 He married Edith Mason in 1883 at Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England.2 He died on 1 January 1913 at age 63 at Marylebone, London, England.2,3
     He lived at Cam-yr-Alyn, Rossett, Denbighshire, WalesG.1 He held the office of Chairman of Flintshire County Council between 1904 and 1910.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.3 He was chairman of John Summers & Sons Ltd.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Flint Boroughs between 1910 and 1913.1 He lived at Emral Hall, Worthenbury, Flintshire, Wales.3

     Lt.-Col. Frederick Henry Burton Wellesley was born on 23 August 1880.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Gerald Valerian Wellesley and Kathleen Carleton.2 He married Helen Evelyn Cobb, daughter of William Henry Cobb, on 2 October 1907.1 He died on 7 September 1955 at age 75.1
     He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Duke of Wellington's (West Riding) Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, and was wounded.1
