     Udo VI Fürst zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg was born on 8 September 1896 at Langenzell^G. He was the son of Alfred Prinz zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg and Pauline Gräfin von Reichenbach-Lessonitz. He married Margarethe Gräfin zu Castell-Castell, daughter of Friedrich Karl Fürst zu Castell-Castell and Gertrud Gräfin zu Stolberg-Wernigerode, on 3 May 1922. He died on 28 December 1980 at age 84 at Bad Mergentheim, Germany^G.
     He gained the title of 6th Fürst zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg.¹

     She gained the title of Herzogin von Oldenburg.¹ She was given the name of Margarete Elizabeth Bathildis Amelie Eilika Barbara Marie-Alix Altburg von Holstein-Gottorp at birth. From 27 June 1985, her married name became von Croÿ.
