She died on 22 August 1595 at age 57.

     She gained the title of Princess Hedwig of Poland.

     Sigismund I, King of Poland was born on 1 January 1467 at Kozienice, PolandG.2,3 He was the son of Casimir IV Jagiellon, King of Poland and Elisabeth von Habsburg.2 He married, firstly, Barbara Zapolya, daughter of Stephen Zapolya, in 1512.2 He married, secondly, Bonna Sforza, daughter of Giovanni Galeazzo Sforza, Duca di Milano and Isabella de'Aragón, in 1518.2 He died on 1 April 1548 at age 81 at Krakow, PolandG.2,3
     He was a member of the House of Jagellon. Sigismund I, King of Poland also went by the nick-name of Sigismund 'the Elder'.4 He succeeded as the King Sigismund I of Poland in 1506.2

He died on 29 April 1559 at age 28.
     He was a member of the House of Guelph.2 He succeeded as the Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg in 1546.2
