     Martin Kemp-Welch was born on 7 November 1772 at Poole, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Martin Kemp and Mary Welch.1 He was baptised on 22 November 1772 at Skinner Street, Poole, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He married Elizabeth Watts on 7 April 1801. He died on 11 June 1837 at age 64 at Poole, Dorset, EnglandG.1
     He was given the name of Martin Kemp at birth.1 In 1795 his name was legally changed to Martin Kemp-Welch by Royal Licence.1 He was a partner with George W. Ledguard, at the Poole Town and County Bank.1

     Lydia Caroline Birch was the daughter of Major George Birch and Lydia Diana Dashwood.1 She married George Sclater-Booth, 1st Baron Basing of Basin Byflete and of Hoddington, son of William Lutley Sclater and Anna Maria Bowyer, on 8 December 1857 at Crondall, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 She died on 5 July 1881.1 She was buried at Upton Grey, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
     From 8 December 1857, her married name became Sclater-Booth.1
