     Sir John Grenfell Nutting, 4th Bt. was born on 28 August 1942.2 He is the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Harold Anthony Nutting, 3rd Bt. and Gillian Leonora Strutt.2,1 He married Diane Kirk Blundell, daughter of John Rutherford Blundell, in 1973.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1964 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1968 entitled to practise as a barrister.2 He was Junior and Senior Treasury Counsel, Central Criminal Court between 1981 and 1983.2 He held the office of Recorder of the Crown Court in 1986.2 He held the office of Bencher of Middle Temple in 1991.2 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1995.2 He held the office of Deputy High Court Judge in 1998.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Nutting, of St. Helen's, co. Dublin [U.K., 1903] on 24 February 1999.2 He lived in 2003 at Chicheley Hall, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1
