     Arthur Upton was born on 31 May 1633.2 He was the son of Captain Henry Upton and Mary Clotworthy.3 He married Dorothy Beresford, daughter of Michael Beresford.3 He died in 1706.3
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Antrim.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carrickfergus in 1661.4 He lived at Castle Upton, County Antrim, IrelandG.4 He also had three older sons who did not survive.5

     He and Catherine May Chamberlain were associated circa 1873.4
