     She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1973.1 She lived in 2003 at Woodlands, Marcle Road, Dymock, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1

     Percy Marmaduke Tottenham was born on 17 August 1873.2 He was the son of Captain Francis Loftus Tottenham and Cicell Grimston.1,2 He was baptised on 20 August 1873 at Kingstown, County Dublin, IrelandG.3 He married Angel Archdale, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Mervyn Archdale, 1st Bt. and Alicia Bland Fleming, on 31 August 1909.1 He died on 27 January 1975 at age 101.1
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, EnglandG.2 He was in the Egyptian Public Works Deaprtment between 1895 and 1925.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1,2 He was agent to the Egyptian Government between 1925 and 1937 at London, EnglandG.2 He lived at Crowborough, Sussex, EnglandG.1

     Alice Gerda Archdale was born on 9 June 1923.1 She was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir Nicholas Edward Archdale, 2nd Bt. and Gerda Henriette Sievers.1 She married Major Peter Edward Courage, son of Lt.-Col. John Hubert Courage and Rose Mary McNeil, on 31 March 1949.1 She and Major Peter Edward Courage were divorced in 1965.1 She died on 6 April 1987 at age 63.1
     Alice Gerda Archdale also went by the nick-name of Patty.1 From 31 March 1949, her married name became Courage.1
