     Gertrude Adelaide Armstrong was born on 30 December 1871.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Sir Edmund Frederick Armstrong, 2nd Bt. and Alice Fisher.1 She married Sir Francis Hare Clayton, son of Charles Hare Clayton, on 8 February 1906.1 She died on 11 February 1962 at age 90.1
     From 8 February 1906, her married name became Clayton.1

     Sir Francis Hare Clayton was the son of Charles Hare Clayton.1 He married Gertrude Adelaide Armstrong, daughter of Reverend Sir Edmund Frederick Armstrong, 2nd Bt. and Alice Fisher, on 8 February 1906.1 He died on 18 October 1956.1
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1
