     John Campbell of Whitestone was the son of Archibald Campbell and Barbara McAlister.1 He married Flora Campbell, daughter of Duncan Campbell of Glen Carradale and Katherine MacNeill.1 He died circa 1734.1
     He lived at Whitestone, Cantyre.1

     Duncan Campbell, 2nd of South Hall is the son of John Campbell of Whitestone and Flora Campbell.1 He married, firstly, Marion Campbell, daughter of John Campbell of Otter, on 18 July 1737.1 He married, secondly, Euphan Livingstone, daughter of Sir James Livingstone of Glentirran and Dladerse, Bt., on 30 May 1752.1
     He had two sons and five daughters by his first wife, but all died in infancy.1

     Euphan Livingstone was the daughter of Sir James Livingstone of Glentirran and Dladerse, Bt.1 She married Duncan Campbell, 2nd of South Hall, son of John Campbell of Whitestone and Flora Campbell, on 30 May 1752.1 She died on 1 May 1801.1
     From 30 May 1752, her married name became Campbell.1

     John Campbell, 3rd of South Hall was born on 6 January 1758.1 He was the son of Duncan Campbell, 2nd of South Hall and Euphan Livingstone.1 He married Mary Campbell, daughter of Colin Campbell of Castleton and Mary Campbell, on 11 June 1795.1 He died on 16 February 1817 at age 59.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 21st Dragoons.1 He was Colonel of the Argyll Militia.1
