     Sir David Baird of Newbyth, 4th Bt. was born on 6 May 1865.1 He was the son of Sir David Baird of Newbyth, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Ellen Stuart.1 He married Lilian Gertrude Davidson, daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Davidson, in 1901.1 He died on 6 January 1941 at age 75.1
     He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Malta in 1890.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Black Watch, Royal Highlanders.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1909.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Baird, of Newbyth, co. Haddington [U.K., 1809] on 13 October 1913.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1

     Lilian Gertrude Davidson was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Davidson.1 She married, firstly, Major Ernest Maxwell Willshire before 1901.1 She married, secondly, Sir David Baird of Newbyth, 4th Bt., son of Sir David Baird of Newbyth, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Ellen Stuart, in 1901.1 She died on 30 April 1941.1
     From before 1901, her married name became Willshire.1 From 1901, her married name became Baird.1
