     Sir Robert Innes, 11th of that Ilk was born circa 1410.2 He was the son of Sir Walter Innes, 10th of that Ilk and Euphemia Fraser.2 He married unknown daughter Douglas, daughter of Sir William Douglas, 2nd of Drumlanrig, circa 1436.2 He died before 1 February 1464.3

Walter Barclay of Towie1

     Walter Barclay of Towie was the son of John Barclay of Towie.1 He died before 21 April 1515.1
     In 1492 he was infeft of his lands.1 On 15 June 1512 he was witness to an instrument of John Allardice of that Ilk.1

Walter Barclay of Towie1

     Walter Barclay of Towie was the son of Patrick Barclay of Towie and Janet Ogilvie.1 He married Elizabeth Hay.1 He died before 25 April 1587.1
     On 12 April 1559 he was infelt of his lands and barony.1 On 25 April 1569 he signed a bond to King James VI of Scotland.1 On 2 September 1574 he tendered his allegiance.1 In 1577 he was a cautioner for his kinsman Sir George Barclay of Gartlie.1

     William Barclay was the son of Walter Barclay of Towie and Elizabeth Hay.1 A contract for the marriage of William Barclay and Anna Napier was signed on 21 March 1602.1 He died circa 1630.1
     He graduated from Louvain University, Louvain, BelgiumG, with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)1 He graduated from Louvain University, Louvain, BelgiumG, with a MAster of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Professor of Humanity in 1598 at Paris University, Paris, FranceG.1 He wrote the book Nepenthes, or the virtues of Tobacco, published 1615, which provoked King James VI's Counterblast in reply.1
