     Henry Vernon Flower Barran was born on 30 July 1894.1 He was the son of Henry Barran and Rosalie Mary Flower.1 He married Cicely Caulfeild, daughter of Vice-Admiral Francis Wade Caulfeild and Katherine Ann Hawkshaw, on 21 July 1921.1 He died on 21 June 1943 at age 48.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery (Special Reserve.)1 He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1921 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1

     Cicely Caulfeild was born on 14 March 1899.2 She was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Francis Wade Caulfeild and Katherine Ann Hawkshaw.1,2 She married Henry Vernon Flower Barran, son of Henry Barran and Rosalie Mary Flower, on 21 July 1921.1 She died in 1985.1
     From 21 July 1921, her married name became Barran.1

Vice-Admiral Francis Wade Caulfeild1

     Vice-Admiral Francis Wade Caulfeild was born on 25 January 1872.2 He was the son of Francis William Caulfeild and Anne Charlotte Eliza Bunbury.2 He married Katherine Ann Hawkshaw, daughter of John Clarke Hawkshaw, on 18 June 1898.2 He died on 7 November 1947 at age 75.2
     He was awarded the Order of the Crown of Italy.2 He was Founder and President of the Association of Retired Naval Officers in 1925.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1936.2

     She graduated from St. Anne's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 From 5 January 1963, her married name became Heron.1 She lived in 2003 at The Cottage, Glaisdale, Whitby, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1
