     Captain Robert Campbell was born on 10 February 1726.1 He was the son of Colin Campbell of Glenfalloch and Agnes Campbell.1 He married Jean Sinclair, daughter of Sir James Sinclair of Dunbeath, 1st Bt. and Isabel Lumsden, on 15 June 1752 at South Leith, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 He died in 1782.1
     One of the Glenfalloch family.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 99th Regiment (Gordon Highlanders.)3 He gained the rank of Captain in the 99th Regiment.1 He lived at JamaicaG.1

     Sir James Sinclair of Dunbeath, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir William Sinclair of Dunbeath and Elizabeth Sinclair.2 He married, firstly, Isabel Muir, daughter of Sir Archibald Muir of Thornton.3 He married, secondly, Isabel Lumsden, daughter of John Lumsden.3 He died on 28 December 1742.3
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Caithness between 1703 and 1707.3 He was created 1st Baronet Sinclair, of Dunbeath, co. Caithness [Nova Scotia] on 12 October 1704, with special remainder to heirs male for ever.3
