     Christof I Markgraf von Baden was born on 13 November 1453.2 He was the son of Karl I Markgraf von Baden and Katherina von Habsburg.1 He married Ottilie von Katzenelnbogen, daughter of Philipp 'der Jüngere' Graf von Katzenelnbogen and Ottilia von Nassau-Dillenburg, on 19 December 1468.2 He died on 19 April 1527 at age 73.1,2
     He succeeded as the Markgraf von Baden in 1475.1 He abdicated as Margrave of Baden in 1515.1
