Robert Breckenridge1

     Robert Breckenridge was born circa 1720 at IrelandG.1 He was the son of Alexander Breckenridge and Jane Preston.1 He married, secondly, Letitia Preston, daughter of Colonel John Preston and Elizabeth Patton, on 6 July 1758 at Augusta County, Virginia, U.S.A.G. He died after 16 August 1772 at Fincastle, Botetourt County, Virginia, U.S.A.G.1
     He emigrated with his parents to North AmericaG arriving on 1728.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Augusta County, Virginia in 1755.1 He fought in the Big Sandy expedition against the Indians in March 1756.1 He was commander of the company of soldiers attached to the First Virginia Regiment in March 1756.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Botetourt County, Virginia.1 His last will was dated 16 August 1772.1

Alexander Breckenridge1

     Alexander Breckenridge was born in 1686 at IrelandG.1 He married Jane Preston, daughter of Phineas Preston and Hon. Mary Stewart.1 He died before 23 September 1743 at Tinkling Springs, Fisherville, Augusta County, Virginia, U.S.A.G.1 He was buried at Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Fisherville, Augusta County, Virginia, U.S.A.G.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 24 May 1750.1
     He and Jane Preston emigrated along with their children to North AmericaG arriving on 1728.1

     Jane Preston was born circa 1690 at IrelandG.1 She was the daughter of Phineas Preston and Hon. Mary Stewart.1,2 She married Alexander Breckenridge.1 She died after 12 November 1746 at Tinkling Springs, Fisherville, Augusta County, Virginia, U.S.A.G.1 She was buried at Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Fisherville, Augusta County, Virginia, U.S.A.G.1
     Her married name became Breckenridge.1 She and Alexander Breckenridge emigrated along with their children to North AmericaG arriving on 1728.1

     Phineas Preston was born in 1672 at IrelandG.2 He married Hon. Mary Stewart, daughter of William Stewart, 1st Viscount Mountjoy and Hon. Mary Coote, in 1692 at Mountjoy, IrelandG.2,1 He died before 1709.1
     He was also known as Archibald Preston.3 He lived at Ardsallagh, County Meath, IrelandG.1
