     Sir Richard Newdigate, 2nd Bt. was born on 4 May 1644.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Newdigate, 1st Bt. and Juliana Leigh.1 He married, firstly, Mary Bagot, daughter of Sir Edward Bagot, 2nd Bt. and Mary Lampard, before 1668.1 He married, secondly, Henrietta Wiggington, daughter of Thomas Wiggington, before 1710.3 He died on 4 January 1709/10 at age 65 at Brownlow Street, Holborn, London, EnglandG.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Newdigate, of Arbury.

     Mary Bagot was born on 6 April 1646.1 She was the daughter of Sir Edward Bagot, 2nd Bt. and Mary Lampard.1 She married Sir Richard Newdigate, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Richard Newdigate, 1st Bt. and Juliana Leigh, before 1668.1 She died on 14 September 1692 at age 46.1
     From before 1668, her married name became Newdigate.1

     He was created 1st Baronet Newdigate, of Arbury [England] on 24 July 1677.1

     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1603.4
