     Maj.-Gen. Grant Blunt was born on 6 March 1840.1 He was the son of Reverend Edward Powlett Blunt and Caroline Anne Clavell.1 He married Rachel Eliza Pile, daughter of Conrad Pile, on 23 April 1867.1 He died on 26 March 1912 at age 72.1
     He held the office of Governor of St. Helena between 1882 and 1887.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.1

     Rachel Eliza Pile was the daughter of Conrad Pile.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Grant Blunt, son of Reverend Edward Powlett Blunt and Caroline Anne Clavell, on 23 April 1867.1 She died on 12 May 1942.1
     From 23 April 1867, her married name became Blunt.1

Colonel Conrad Edward Grant Blunt1

     Colonel Conrad Edward Grant Blunt was born on 21 February 1868.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Grant Blunt and Rachel Eliza Pile.1 He married, firstly, Aimeé Straghan, daughter of Colonel Abel Straghan, on 19 September 1900.1 He married, secondly, Beatrice Louise Gregory on 22 June 1920.1
     He fought in the Dongola Expedition in 1896, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the Nile Expedition in 1898, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Order of the Nile 2nd class.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Army Service Corps.1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He was awarded the Order of the Medjidie 4th class.1 He was awarded the Order of Osmanieh 3rd class.1

Henry Sydney Nobbs1

     Henry Sydney Nobbs was born on 19 February 1898 at Norfolk IslandG.1,2 He was the son of Ruth Christian.1 He married Ida Gertrude Ann Bowden, daughter of George William Bowden and Elizabeth White, on 25 November 1939 at St. Barnabas Chapel, Norfolk IslandG.3 He died on 23 July 1974 at age 76.2
     Henry Sydney Nobbs also went by the nick-name of Sandow.3 He took his stepfather's name.1 He fought in the First World War, the 5th Australian Division Signal Company.3
