     Hon. Edward Charles Hugh Herbert was born on 30 March 1802.1 He was the son of Henry George Herbert, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and Elizabeth Kitty Acland.1 He married Elizabeth Sweet-Escott, daughter of Prebendary Thomas Sweet-Escott, in June 1833.1 He died on 30 May 1852 at age 50.1

     From June 1833, her married name became Herbert.1

Philip Bouverie-Pusey and Lady Lucy Sherard.1 He married Lady Emily Frances Theresa Herbert, daughter of Henry George Herbert, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and Elizabeth Kitty Acland, on 4 October 1822.1 He died on 9 July 1855 at age 56, after a stroke.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1 He lived at Pusey House, Faringdon, Berkshire, England.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2
