     Captain Basil Charles Boothby was born on 13 January 1834.1 He was the son of Reverend Charles Boothby and Marianne Catherine Beridge.1 He married Emily Sarah Jebb, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Joshua Jebb and Mary Legh Thomas, on 28 January 1860.1 He died on 9 August 1892 at age 58.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 95th Regiment.1 He fought in the Battle of Alma, where he was seriously wounded, and his leg amputated.1

Emily Sarah Jebb1

     Emily Sarah Jebb was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Joshua Jebb and Mary Legh Thomas.1,2 She married Captain Basil Charles Boothby, son of Reverend Charles Boothby and Marianne Catherine Beridge, on 28 January 1860.1 She died on 28 November 1890.1
     From 28 January 1860, her married name became Boothby.1

     Commander Hubert Basil Boothby was born on 4 March 1863.1 He was the son of Captain Basil Charles Boothby and Emily Sarah Jebb.1 He married Frances Ann Good, daughter of John Carr Good, in 1912.1 He died on 10 November 1941 at age 78, without issue.1
     He was with the Canadian Pacific Railway.1 He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Naval Reserve.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.1
