     Butterworth Broadbent was born on 19 January 1837.1 He was the son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth.1 He married Julia Minerva Harpin, daughter of John Harpin, in 1863.1 He died on 10 July 1873 at age 36.1

     Julia Minerva Harpin is the daughter of John Harpin.1 She married Butterworth Broadbent, son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth, in 1863.1

Colonel John Edward Broadbent1

     Colonel John Edward Broadbent was born on 14 April 1845.2 He was the son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth.2 He married, firstly, Dora Nicholson, daughter of Thomas Nicholson, in 1870.2 He married, secondly, Hon. Alexandra Caroline Frances Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, daughter of John Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, 11th Baron Saye and Sele and Lady Augusta Sophia Hay-Drummond, on 1 February 1900.2 He died on 7 January 1931 at age 85.2
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.2 He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.2 He fought in the Tirah Expedition between 1897 and 1898.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)2

     Dora Nicholson was the daughter of Thomas Nicholson.1 She married Colonel John Edward Broadbent, son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth, in 1870.1 She died on 7 July 1897.1
