     From 5 August 1891, her married name became Duff.1

     Alan Colquhoun Duff was born on 20 November 1860 at Dunlugas, Banffshire, ScotlandG.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith and Jane Bracken Dunlop.1 He married Bertha Hope Duff, daughter of Garden William Duff, 9th of Hatton and Jean Cook, on 23 August 1888.1 He died on 5 January 1897 at age 36 at Jubbulpore, IndiaG.1
     He was educated at Fettes College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.2 He was Deputy Commissioner of Jubbulpore between 1893 and 1897.2

     George William Duff-Assheton-Smith was born on 17 May 1848.2 He was the son of Robert George Duff and Mary Astley.2 He married Alice Laura Jones, daughter of Colin Stanhope Jones, on 19 April 1888.2 He died on 22 November 1904 at age 56.2

     Alice Laura Jones was the daughter of Colin Stanhope Jones.1 She married, firstly, George William Duff-Assheton-Smith, son of Robert George Duff and Mary Astley, on 19 April 1888.2 She married Brigadier George Lewis Holdsworth on 19 February 1907.3 She died on 22 February 1940.2
     From 19 April 1888, her married name became Duff-Assheton-Smith.2 From 19 February 1907, her married name became Holdsworth.3
