     Reverend Charles Edmund Duff was born on 17 March 1863.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith and Jane Bracken Dunlop.2 He married, firstly, Mary Susan Smith, daughter of Archibald Smith, on 11 January 1894.3 He married, secondly, Edith Alice Ives, daughter of Charles Ives, on 14 July 1916.3
     He graduated from Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG, in 1887 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)2 He was the Vicar between 1907 and 1921 at Sydling, Dorset, EnglandG.2 He was the Vicar between 1921 and 1937 at Harwicke, Herefordshire, EnglandG.2
