     Isla Clifton Brown was born on 19 December 1883.1 She was the daughter of James Clifton Brown and Amelia Rowe.1 She married, firstly, Reginald George Henderson, son of Robert Henderson and Emma Caroline Hargreaves, on 9 May 1911.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Charles Hemsley, son of Reverend Charles Hemsley, on 31 August 1920.1 She died on 5 February 1971 at age 87.1
     From 9 May 1911, her married name became Henderson.1 From 31 August 1920, her married name became Hemsley.1

Reginald George Henderson1

     Reginald George Henderson was born on 11 August 1883.2 He was the son of Robert Henderson and Emma Caroline Hargreaves.1,3 He married Isla Clifton Brown, daughter of James Clifton Brown and Amelia Rowe, on 9 May 1911.1 He died on 29 March 1917 at age 33, as a result of war injuries.1
     He lived in 1908 at Chania, Chaniabridge, KenyaG.4 He gained the rank of Serjeant in the East African Mounted Rifles.4 He fought in the First World War.1

     Colonel Charles Hemsley was born in 1883.2 He was the son of Reverend Charles Hemsley.1 He married Isla Clifton Brown, daughter of James Clifton Brown and Amelia Rowe, on 31 August 1920.1 He died on 23 November 1961.1
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.1
