     Sir Roger Burgoyne, 6th Bt. was born circa 1710.1 He was the son of Sir Roger Burgoyne, 4th Bt. and Constance Middleton.1 He married Lady Frances Montagu, daughter of George Montague, 1st Earl of Halifax and Lady Mary Lumley, in January 1738/39.1 He died on 31 December 1780.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 22 January 1781.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Burgoyne, of Sutton, co. Bedford [E., 1641] circa 1717.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between 1734 and 1747.1 His last will was dated 19 February 1755.

     Lady Frances Montagu was the daughter of George Montague, 1st Earl of Halifax and Lady Mary Lumley.1 She married Sir Roger Burgoyne, 6th Bt., son of Sir Roger Burgoyne, 4th Bt. and Constance Middleton, in January 1738/39.1 She died on 24 July 1788 at Harley Street, London, EnglandG.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered on 5 August 1788.1
     From January 1738/39, her married name became Burgoyne.1

     Lt.-Gen. Sir John Burgoyne, 7th Bt. was born on 21 September 1739.1 He was the son of Sir Roger Burgoyne, 6th Bt. and Lady Frances Montagu.1 He married Charlotte Frances Johnstone, daughter of General unknown Johnstone, on 13 July 1772.1 He died on 23 September 1785 at age 46 at East IndiesG.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 58th Foot.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 19th Light Dragoons.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Burgoyne, of Sutton, co. Bedford [E., 1641] on 31 December 1780.1 He lived at Sutton Park, Bedfordshire, England.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

     Charlotte Frances Johnstone was the daughter of General unknown Johnstone.1 She married, firstly, Lt.-Gen. Sir John Burgoyne, 7th Bt., son of Sir Roger Burgoyne, 6th Bt. and Lady Frances Montagu, on 13 July 1772.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Gen. Eyre Power Trench, son of Richard Trench and Frances Power, in 1797.2 She died on 14 April 1820.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered on 26 May 1820.1
     From 13 July 1772, her married name became Burgoyne.1 From 1797, her married name became Trench.2

     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 2nd Battalion, 27th Regiemnt of Foot.2

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Montagu Roger Burgoyne, 8th Bt. was born on 2 May 1773.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Burgoyne, 7th Bt. and Charlotte Frances Johnstone.1 He married Catherine Burton, daughter of John Burton, on 1 November 1794.1 He died on 11 November 1817 at age 44 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 His will (dated 13 October 1810) was proven (by probate) on 6 November 1817.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Burgoyne, of Sutton, co. Bedford [E., 1641] on 23 September 1785.1
