     Sir Reginald Thomas Butler, 2nd Bt. was born on 27 April 1901.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Reginald Frederick Butler, 1st Bt. and Rose Rich.2 He married, firstly, Marjorie Brown Woods, daughter of Sidney Brown Woods, on 1 June 1927.1 He and Marjorie Brown Woods were divorced in 1949.1 He married, secondly, Kathleen Phyllis Southerton, daughter of William Aubrey Southerton, on 1 December 1950.1 He died on 22 March 1959 at age 57.1
     Sir Reginald Thomas Butler, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Thomas.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Butler, of Old Park, Devizes, co. Wilts. [U.K., 1922] on 19 November 1933.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1
