     George Sinclair, 7th Earl of Caithness was the son of Francis Sinclair and Elizabeth Fraser.2 He died in 1698 at Keiss, ScotlandG, unmarried.3
     He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Caithness [S., 1455] in May 1676, so declared by the Privy Council on 15 July 1681.1

     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Sinclair, of Canisbay, co. Caithness [N.S., 1631].1

     Lt.-Col. John Sinclair was the son of George Sinclair, 5th Earl of Caithness and Lady Jean Gordon.2 He died in 1632 at Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, killed without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Munro’s Regiment in Swedish service.1
