Anne Gertrude Smith was born on 15 March 1876.2 She was the daughter of George Smith and Janet Colquhoun Adam.3 She married Sir Montagu Sherard Dawes Butler, son of Spencer Percival Butler, on 12 October 1901.2 She died on 23 July 1953 at age 77.2

Rt. Hon. Sir Adam Courtauld Butler was the son of Richard Austen Butler, Baron Butler of Saffron Walden and Sydney Elizabeth Courtauld.2 He married Felicity Sybil Molesworth-St. Aubyn, daughter of Guy Kemyel Molesworth-St. Aubyn and Catherine Hargreaves, on 21 October 1955.1 He died on 9 January 2008.3
