William Campbell was born in 1774.1 He was the son of Sir James Campbell of Aberuchill, 3rd Bt. and Mary Ann Burn.2 He married, firstly, Eliza Hunter, daughter of William Hunter, in 1804.1 He married, secondly, Jane Cleghorn, daughter of H. Cleghorn, in 1820.1 He died in 1849.1
