     Thomas Charles Evans was born in 1890.1 He was the son of Eyre Frederick FitzGeorge Evans and Mary Alderson.2 He married, firstly, Elsa Phyllis Heckler in 1919.1 He married, secondly, Elsie Edith Smith in 1925.1 He died on 23 September 1960.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the New Zealand Permanent Staff.1
