     John Becher was the son of Henry Becher and Catherine Owen.1 He married, firstly, Frances Hedges, daughter of Richard Hedges and Mary Eyre, on 27 March 1740 at Macroom, County Cork, IrelandG.2 He married, secondly, Barbara Hungerford on 4 February 1769 at Ross Cathedral, County Cork, IrelandG.2 He married, thirdly, Barbara Townsend, daughter of John Townsend and Katherine Barry, in October 1771.2 He died in February 1778 at Hollybrook, Abbeystrowry, County Cork, IrelandG.2 His will was proven (by probate) on 19 May 1790.2
     He was also known as Richard Becher.3 He lived at Aughadown, Skibbereen, County Cork, IrelandG.1 He lived at Hollybrook, Abbeystrowry, County Cork, IrelandG, which he built in 1751.1 His last will was dated 28 October 1769.2

     Elizabeth Becher was born circa 1741.2 She was the daughter of John Becher and Frances Hedges.3,4 She married William Evans, son of Hon. John Evans and Grace Freke, on 2 September 1777 at Christchurch, Cork, County Cork, IrelandG, with issue.4,2 She died after 1782.2
     She was also known as Eliza Becher.4 From 2 September 1777, her married name became Evans.2
