     Robert Cary was born on 2 December 1871.1 He was the son of William Cary and Isabella Ann Shilson.2 He married Alice Day, daughter of Frederick Day, in 1897.1 He died on 4 April 1958 at age 86.1
     He lived at Hampstead, London, EnglandG.1

     Sir Robert Archibald Cary, 1st Bt. was born on 25 May 1898.1 He was the son of Robert Cary and Alice Day.2 He married Hon. Rosamond Mary Curzon, daughter of Colonel Hon. Alfred Nathaniel Curzon and Henrietta Mary Montagu, on 30 April 1924.2 He died on 2 October 1979 at age 81.1,3
     He was educated at Ardingly College, Haywards Heath, Sussex, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was appointed Knight in 1915.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 4th Dragoon Guards.1 He fought in the First World War between 1916 and 1918.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Colonel Hon. Alfred Nathaniel Curzon was born on 12 March 1860.2 He was the son of Alfred Nathaniel Holden Curzon, 4th Baron Scarsdale and Blanche Senhouse.2 He married Henrietta Mary Montagu, daughter of Hon. Spencer Dudley Montagu and Henrietta Elizabeth Harriet Pemberton, on 29 April 1891.2 He died on 20 September 1920 at age 60.2
     He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 3rd Battalion, Sherwood Foresters, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment.2

     Hon. Rosamond Mary Curzon was born on 24 December 1893.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Hon. Alfred Nathaniel Curzon and Henrietta Mary Montagu.2 She married Sir Robert Archibald Cary, 1st Bt., son of Robert Cary and Alice Day, on 30 April 1924.2 She died in 1985.1
     From 30 April 1924, her married name became Cary. On 17 January 1930 she was granted the rank of a viscount's daughter.2
