     Mary Lake was baptised on 18 July 1668 at Whitchurch, London, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Lake and Rebecca Langham.1 She married James Brydges, 1st Duke of Chandos, son of James Brydges, 8th Baron Chandos of Sudeley and Elizabeth Barnard, on 27 February 1695/96 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 15 December 1712 at age 44 at Canons, Whitchurch, London, EnglandG.1
     From 27 February 1695/96, her married name became Brydges.1

     Mary Osborn was the daughter of Robert Osborn.2 She married Allen Chatfield, son of Robert Chatfield and Katherine Savage, on 14 July 1747.1 She died on 18 September 1761.1
     From 14 July 1747, her married name became Chatfield.

Robert Chatfield1

     Robert Chatfield was born on 23 July 1748.1 He was the son of Allen Chatfield and Mary Osborn.2 He married Ann Storrow.1 He died on 21 May 1811 at age 62.1
     He was a junior clerk in the Pay Office, Honourable East India Company in 1764.1 He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.1 He was 2nd Assistant to the Paymaster and Clerk to the Committee of Shipping in 1793.1 He was 1st Assistant to the Paymaster of Seamen's Wages in 1798.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.1 He was Payymaster in 1802.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Surrey in 1805.1 He lived at Croydon, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He lived at Cooper's Row, Hart Street, London, EnglandG.1

     Letitia Lewis was the daughter of William Lewis.2 She married, firstly, Samuel Chatfield, son of Robert Chatfield and Ann Storrow.1 She married, secondly, Captain Charles Close, son of Reverend Henry Jackson Close, on 1 January 1824 at Bishopstoke, Hampshire, England.1,3 She died on 31 May 1866.1
     Her married name became Chatfield. From 1 January 1824, her married name became Close.1
