     John Eardley-Wilmot was born in 1750.1 He was the son of Sir John Eardley Wilmot and Sarah Rivett.2 He married, firstly, Frances Sainthill, daughter of Samuel Sainthill and Jermyma Scott, on 20 April 1776.1,3 He married, secondly, Sarah Ann Haslam, daughter of Lt.-Col. Anthony Haslam, on 8 June 1793 at St. Andrew, Holborn, London, England.2,3 He died in June 1815.4
     He was given the name of John Wilmot at birth.1 He was a practising Inner Temple in 1767, barrister.1,3 He held the office of Master of Chancery.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tiverton between 1776 and 1784.1 On 20 January 1812 his name was legally changed to John Eardley-Wilmot by Royal Licence.1,3 He lived at Berkswell Hall, Berkswell, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1

Sir John Eardley Eardley-Wilmot, 1st Bt.1

     Sir John Eardley Eardley-Wilmot, 1st Bt. was born on 21 February 1783.1 He was the son of John Eardley-Wilmot and Frances Sainthill.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Emma Parry, daughter of Caleb Hillier Parry, on 21 May 1808.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Chester, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Robert Chester and Elizabeth Ford, on 30 August 1819 at Hatfield, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.2 He died on 3 February 1847 at age 63.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Eardley-Wilmot, of Berkswell Hall, co. Warwick [U.K.] on 23 August 1821.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Warwickshire between 1832 and 1843.1 He held the office of Governor of Van Diemen's Land.1 He also had one other daughter by his second wife.2

     Selina Elizabeth Eardley-Wilmot was the daughter of John Eardley-Wilmot and Frances Sainthill.2 She married Reverend Guy Bryan on 5 March 1811 at Tottenham, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 8 October 1868.1
     From 5 March 1811, her married name became Bryan.1
