     Sir John Pakington, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir John Pakington, 1st Bt. and Frances Ferrers.2 He married Hon. Dorothy Coventry, daughter of Thomas Coventry, 1st Baron Coventry of Aylesborough and Elizabeth Aldersey.1 He died circa 1 January 1678/79.2 He was buried on 3 January 1679.2
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Pakington, of Aylesbury [E., 1620] in October 1624.2 He was a royalist during the Civil War, imprisoned n the Tower London, fined £5,000, his estate confiscated, his house in Buckinghamshire demolished.2 He fought in the Battle of Worcester in 1651, where he was captured by Cromwellian troops), fined again, this time £7,670 and forced to alienate part of his Aylesbury property (later annulled at the restoration.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Worcestershire in 1675.2
