     Sir Robert Melville Terence McConnell, 3rd Bt. was born on 7 February 1902.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph McConnell, 2nd Bt. and Lisa McGowan.² He married, firstly, Rosamond Mary Elizabeth Reade, daughter of James Stewart Reade and Emily Constance Jane Charley, on 4 September 1928.¹ He and Rosamond Mary Elizabeth Reade were divorced in 1954.¹ He married, secondly, Alice Ann Mary Glendinning, daughter of Robert Graham Glendinning, on 29 September 1967.³ He died in 1987.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet McConnell, of the Moat, Strandtown, Belfast [U.K., 1900] on 27 August 1942.¹ He was partner of R. J. McConnell & Company, surveyors, valuers and estate agents at Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G.³ He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.R.D.)³

     Jackson Desmond McConnell was born on 12 June 1912.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph McConnell, 2nd Bt. and Lisa McGowan.² He married Honor Muriel Ramsay, daughter of Robert Henry Cooke Ramsay, on 16 January 1948.¹ He died in 1986.¹
     Jackson Desmond McConnell usually went by his middle name of Desmond.³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹

     Rory Desmond Ramsay McConnell was born on 3 May 1957.¹ He is the son of Jackson Desmond McConnell and Honor Muriel Ramsay.² He married Karen McClean, daughter of James McClean, in 1982.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹
