     John Chevallier Cobbold was born on 24 August 1797.¹ He was the son of John Cobbold and Harriet Chevallier.² He married Lucy Patterson, daughter of Reverend Henry Patterson, on 14 May 1827.¹ He died on 6 October 1882 at age 85.¹
