     Mary Jeannette Rawnsley was baptised on 13 December 1891 at Burgh-upon-Bain, Lincolnshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Edward Preston Rawnsley and Mary Louisa Tasker.1 She married Captain William James Alexander, son of Captain James Fane Alexander and Aurea Otway Mayne, in June 1915.1 She died in 1941 at Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England.2
     From June 1915, her married name became Alexander.1

     Edward Preston Rawnsley was born in 1852.2 He was the son of Edward Preston Rawnsley and Mary Jeannette Jackson. He married Mary Louisa Tasker, daughter of Thomas Tasker, in 1890.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Volunteer Regiment.2 He lived at Rathby Hall, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Lincolnshire Imperial Yeomanry.2

     Patrick Rawnsley Alexander was born in February 1917.1 He was the son of Captain William James Alexander and Mary Jeannette Rawnsley.1 He died on 13 October 1944 at age 27 at ItalyG, killed in action, unamrried.1,2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 19th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery.2

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at The Lodge, Hundleby, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1

     She lived at Wallsend, Northumberland, EnglandG.1 From 18 September 1941, her married name became Alexander.1
