     Nicholas Aylward was the son of Peter Aylward and Elizabeth Butler.1 He married Catherine Keating, daughter of Maurice Keating, on 5 August 1719.1 He died in 1786.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thomastown.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Kilkenny in 1742.1 He lived at Shankill Castle, Paulstown, County Kilkenny, IrelandG.1
