     Francis Christopher Bland was born on 4 October 1826.1 He was the son of James Franklin Bland and Emma Taylor.1 He married Jane Hamilton, daughter of Reverend Archibald Robert Hamilton, on 23 June 1849.1 He died on 5 April 1899 at age 72.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Derriquin Castle, Kilcrohane, County Kerry, IrelandG.1
