     Andrew Moncreiffe was the son of William Moncreiffe of that Ilk, younger and Jean Oliphant.2 He married Jonet Moncreiffe, daughter of David Moncreiffe.1 He died on 8 August 1596.1
     He was the Minister at Crail, ScotlandG.2 He was Commendator of Elcho.1

     Hew Moncreiffe was the son of William Moncreiffe of that Ilk, younger and Jean Oliphant.2 He married, firstly, Helen Dundas of Fingask.1 He married, secondly, Agnes Dischington, daughter of Thomas Dischington of Ardross.2 He died after 6 November 1635.1
     In 1600 he was wounded trying to save his host in the Gowrie House Affair.1 He was later pardoned by King James VI personally.1 He lived at the Cotes of Elcho, ScotlandG.1

     James Moncreiffe was the son of William Moncreiffe, 10th of that Ilk and Margaret Murray.2 He married Margaret Balnavis, daughter of James Balnavis.1 He died before 29 November 1596.1
     He lived at Barnhill, Dunbartonshire, ScotlandG.1

     John Moncreiffe was the son of William Moncreiffe, 10th of that Ilk and Margaret Murray.2 He died in December 1579, murdered by the Master of Oliphant.2

Alexander Moncreiffe1

     Alexander Moncreiffe was the son of William Moncreiffe, 10th of that Ilk and Margaret Murray.2 He married Euphame Crichton of Strathurd.1 He died on 8 December 1610.1
     He was ancestor of the Moncreiffs of Culfargie and Bandirran, the Moncreiffs of Minmonth, and in the female line, the Scott-Moncreiffs.1
