     Elna Murray was the daughter of Sir David Murray of Tullibardine.¹ She married Malcolm Moncreiffe, 6th of that Ilk, son of John Moncreiffe, 5th of that Ilk.¹ She died in 1458.¹
     Her married name became Moncreiffe.¹

     Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 1st Bt. was born in 1626.¹ He was the son of Thomas Moncreiffe and Elspeth Baikie.² He married, firstly, Bethia Hamilton, daughter of Alexander Hamilton of Hill.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Hope, daughter of Sir Thomas Hope, Lord Kerse and Helen Rae.² He died on 15 January 1715, without issue.¹
     He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers entitled to practise as a an original member.¹ He held the office of Clerk of the Exchequer and Treasurer [Scotland].¹ In 1674 Bthe aronies of Moncreiffe and Easter Moncreiffe were united in his favour.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Moncreiffe [Nova Scotia] on 30 November 1685, with a special remainder to heirs male whatsoever.¹

     Alexander Hamilton of Hill held the office of Lord Justice Clerk [Scotland], during the Protectorate.¹

     Bethia Hamilton was the daughter of Alexander Hamilton of Hill.² She married Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Moncreiffe and Elspeth Baikie.¹ She died in 1703.¹
     Her married name became Moncreiffe.¹

     Beatrix Dundas is the daughter of James Dundas of that Ilk and Cristina Stewart.¹ She married John Moncreiffe, 7th of that Ilk, son of Malcolm Moncreiffe, 6th of that Ilk and Elna Murray.¹
     Her married name became Moncreiffe.¹

     James Dundas of that Ilk married Cristina Stewart.¹

     Cristina Stewart married James Dundas of that Ilk.¹
