     Lady Frances Charlotte Lambton was born on 16 October 1812.2 She was the daughter of John George Lambton, 1st Earl of Durham and Lady Harriet Cholmondeley.1 She married John George Brabazon Ponsonby, 5th Earl of Bessborough, son of John William Ponsonby, 4th Earl of Bessborough and Lady Maria Fane, on 8 September 1835 at Cleveland Row, St. James's, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 18 December 1835 at age 23 at Bessborough House, near Pilltown, County Kilkenny, IrelandG, from consumption.2 She was buried on 23 December 1835 at Fiddown, IrelandG.2
     Her married name became Ponsonby.

     Lady Caroline Amelia Gordon-Lennox was born on 18 June 1819.3 She was the daughter of Charles Gordon-Lennox, 5th Duke of Richmond and Lady Caroline Paget.3 She married John George Brabazon Ponsonby, 5th Earl of Bessborough, son of John William Ponsonby, 4th Earl of Bessborough and Lady Maria Fane, on 4 October 1849.3 She died on 30 April 1890 at age 70 at Bessborough House, Pilltown, County Kilkenny, IrelandG.3 She was buried on 6 May 1890 at Fiddown, IrelandG.3 Her will was proven (by probate) on 14 June 1890.3
     From 4 October 1849, her married name became Ponsonby. After her marriage, Lady Caroline Amelia Gordon-Lennox was styled as Countess of Bessborough on 4 October 1849. Her last will was dated 21 September 1882.
