     Robert Studdert was the son of Joseph Gabbett Studdert and Frances Grace Hunt.1 He married, firstly, Althea Jane Cathcart McDowell, daughter of James McDowell and Julia Vincent.1 He married, secondly, Florence Mortimore Schrader, daughter of Francis Benjamin Schrader and Jane Russell, on 21 August 1884 at St. Oswald, Bidston, Cheshire, England.1,2 He died on 16 December 1906, without issue.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Clare.1 He was Commodore of the Orient Stemaship Company.1 He lived at Kilkee, County Clare, IrelandG.1
