     James Hozier was born on 14 November 1791.1 He was the son of William Hozier and Jean Campbell.1 He married Catherine Margaret Feilden, daughter of Sir William Feilden, 1st Bt. and Mary Haughton Jackson, on 11 May 1824.1 He died on 12 January 1878 at age 86.1
     He lived at Mauldslie Castle, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1 He lived at Newlands, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1

She married Karl Ludwig Landgraf von Hessen-Philippsthal, son of Philip Landgraf von Hessen-Philippsthal and Katherine Amalia zu Solms-Laubach, on 25 November 1725. She died on 25 July 1743 at age 44 at Philippsthal, GermanyG.

     William Wallace Hozier, 1st Baron Newlands was born on 24 February 1825.2 He was the son of James Hozier and Catherine Margaret Feilden.1,2 He married Frances Anne O'Hara, daughter of John O'Hara and Arabella Blake, in August 1849.3,2 He died on 30 January 1906 at age 80.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Scots Greys.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Lanarkshire Regiment.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the auxiliary forces.2 He was created 1st Baronet Hozier [U.K.] on 12 June 1890.2 He was created 1st Baron Newlands, of Newlands, and Barrowfield, in the county of the city of Glasgow, and of Mauldslie Castle, co. Lanark [U.K.] on 19 January 1898.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Glasgow.2 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Lanarkshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glasgow.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Argyllshire.2

     Katherine Amalia zu Solms-Laubach was born on 26 December 1654. She was the daughter of Karl Otto graf zu Solms-Laubach and Amoena Elisabeth von Bentheim-Tecklenburg.1 She married Philip Landgraf von Hessen-Philippsthal, son of Wilhelm VI Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel, on 16 April 1680. She died on 26 April 1736 at age 81.

John Douglas Stuart was born on 11 June 1925.2 He was the son of James Gray Stuart, 1st Viscount Stuart of Findhorn and Lady Rachel Cavendish.2 He married, firstly, Cecile Margaret Barr, daughter of Gerald Harrison Barr, on 4 May 1957.2 He and Cecile Margaret Barr were divorced in 1958.2 He married, secondly, Lady Caroline Child-Villiers, daughter of George Francis Child-Villiers, 9th Earl of the Island of Jersey and Patricia Kenneth Richards, on 23 September 1969.3 He died in 1990, without issue.2
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.2

     Karoline Prinzessin zu Stolberg-Gedern was born on 27 June 1732 at Gedern, GermanyG.1 She was the daughter of Friedrich Karl Fürst zu Stolberg-Gedern and Luise Henriette von Nassau-Saarbrücken.1 She married Christian Albrecht Ludwig II Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg, son of Ludwig Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg and Eleanore Gräfin von Nassau-Saarbrücken, on 13 April 1761 at Gedern, GermanyG.1 She died on 28 May 1796 at age 63 at Langenburg, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.1
     She held the office of Canon of Quedlinburg.1
