Montgomery Lancelot Carleton, son of General Henry Alexander Carleton and Elizabeth Boyle, on 16 December 1908.1 She died on 15 October 1944.1
     From 16 December 1908, her married name became Carleton.

     Brig.-Gen. Montgomery Lancelot Carleton was born on 4 June 1861.2 He was the son of General Henry Alexander Carleton and Elizabeth Boyle.3,4 He married Marguerite Helen Darell, daughter of Sir Lionel Edward Darell, 5th Bt. and Helen Frances Marshland, on 16 December 1908.1 He died on 18 August 1942 at age 81.1
     He fought in the Hazara Campaign in 1888.2 He fought in the Hazara Campaign in 1891.2 He fought in the Uganda Campaign in 1898, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He retired from the military in 1918, with the rank of Brigadier-General, late of the Royal Artillery.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.2

     Dorothy Muriel Darell was born in 1882 at Fretherne House, Gloucestershire, England.2 She was the daughter of Sir Lionel Edward Darell, 5th Bt. and Helen Frances Marshland.3 She married Captain John Sturges Burrow Hill, son of Edward Burrow Hill, on 10 August 1910.1 She and Captain John Sturges Burrow Hill were divorced in 1930.1 She died on 10 July 1961, without issue.1
     From 10 August 1910, her married name became Hill. She was Serving Sister, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (S.S.St.J.)1
