Johann Georg I Prinz von Anhalt-Dessau

     Johann Georg I Prinz von Anhalt-Dessau was born on 9 May 1567. He was the son of Joachim Ernst Prinz von Anhalt-Zerbst and Agnes Gräfin von Barby-Muhlingen. He married, firstly, Dorothea Gräfin von Mansfeld-Arnstein on 22 February 1588. He married, secondly, Dorothea Pfalzgräfin von Simmern, daughter of Johann Kasimir Pfalzgraf von Simmern and Elisabeth von Sachsen, on 21 February 1595. He died on 24 May 1618 at age 51.
     He succeeded as the Prinz von Anhalt in 1586. He was created Prinz von Anhalt-Dessau in 1603.

     Dorothea Pfalzgräfin von Simmern was born on 6 January 1581. She was the daughter of Johann Kasimir Pfalzgraf von Simmern and Elisabeth von Sachsen. She married Johann Georg I Prinz von Anhalt-Dessau, son of Joachim Ernst Prinz von Anhalt-Zerbst and Agnes Gräfin von Barby-Muhlingen, on 21 February 1595. She died on 18 September 1631 at age 50.
     She gained the title of Pfalzgräfin von Simmern.

     Dorothea Gräfin von Mansfeld-Arnstein was born in 1561. She married Johann Georg I Prinz von Anhalt-Dessau, son of Joachim Ernst Prinz von Anhalt-Zerbst and Agnes Gräfin von Barby-Muhlingen, on 22 February 1588. She died in 1594.
     She gained the title of Gräfin von Mansfeld-Arnstein.

     Johann Kasimir Pfalzgraf von Simmern was born on 7 March 1545. He married Elisabeth von Sachsen, daughter of August Kurfürst von Sachsen and Anne Oldenburg, Princess of Denmark, on 4 June 1570. He died on 6 January 1592 at age 46.
     He was also known as Pfalzgraf von Simmern. He gained the title of Herzog von Lautern.

     Luise Juliane von Erbach was born on 3 June 1603. She was the daughter of Georg III Graf zu Erbach and Maria (?) She married Ernst Graf von Sayn-Wittgenstein, son of Wilhelm II Graf zu Sayn-Wittgenstein and Anne Elisabeth zu Sayn, on 19 July 1624. She died on 8 September 1670 at age 67.

     Wilhelm II Graf zu Sayn-Wittgenstein was born on 13 March 1569.1 He was the son of Ludwig I Graf zu Sayn-Wittgenstein and Elisabeth zu Solms-Laubach.1 He married, firstly, Anne Elisabeth zu Sayn, daughter of Hermann Graf zu Sayn and Elisabeth von Erbach, on 1 June 1591.2 He married, secondly, Anna Ottilia Gräfin von Nassau-Weilburg, daughter of Albrecht Graf von Nassau-Weilburg and Anna Gräfin von Nassau-Dillenburg, on 18 November 1609 at Weilburg, GermanyG.1 He died on 29 October 1623 at age 54.1

     Anne Elisabeth zu Sayn was born on 1 February 1572.1 She was the daughter of Hermann Graf zu Sayn and Elisabeth von Erbach.1 She married Wilhelm II Graf zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, son of Ludwig I Graf zu Sayn-Wittgenstein and Elisabeth zu Solms-Laubach, on 1 June 1591.1 She died on 11 March 1608 at age 36.1

     Hermann Graf zu Sayn was born in 1543.1 He was the son of Johann VI Graf von Sayn and Elisabeth von Holstein-Schauenburg-Pinneburg.1 He married Elisabeth von Erbach, daughter of Eberhard XIV Graf zu Erbach and Margareta zu Salm-Dhaum, on 8 September 1571.1 He died on 17 March 1588.1
