     Lt.-Col. Charles Frederick Hulse was born on 30 April 1843.1 He was the son of Charles Hulse and Georgina Amelia Buller.2 He married Jessie Marian Thackwell, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Joseph Edwin Thackwell and Eliza Maria Burnside, on 11 November 1875.1 He died on 7 February 1902 at age 58, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.1

Lt.-Gen. Joseph Edwin Thackwell1

Lt.-Gen. Joseph Thackwell 2
     Lt.-Gen. Joseph Edwin Thackwell was born on 7 September 1813.2 He was the son of John Thackwell.2 He was baptised on 3 November 1813 at Dymock, Gloucestershire, England.2 He married, firstly, Eliza Maria Burnside, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Burnside.2 He married, secondly, Lucy Helen Highton in 1878 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.2 He died on 14 January 1900 at age 86 at 23 Lansdowne Place, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.2
     He was Aide-de-Camp to General Sir Joseph Thackwell between 1852 and 1853.2 He fought in the Crimean War between 1854 and 1856.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1

     Jessie Marian Thackwell was born in 1850 at Lyme Regis, Dorset, England.2 She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Joseph Edwin Thackwell and Eliza Maria Burnside.3,2 She married Lt.-Col. Charles Frederick Hulse, son of Charles Hulse and Georgina Amelia Buller, on 11 November 1875.1 She died on 23 November 1934.1
     From 11 November 1875, her married name became Hulse.

Agnes Charlotte Letitia Hulse1

     Agnes Charlotte Letitia Hulse was the daughter of Charles Hulse and Georgina Amelia Buller.2 She married Gilbert John Smallpiece on 21 May 1873.1 She died in 1882.1
     From 21 May 1873, her married name became Smallpiece.
